Business Partners
By Summerville News

Oakbrook Middle School has a terrific new business partner-Lowe’s on Main Street. Lowe’s is donating all the materials needed to build the girls’ and boys’ dugouts on Oakbrook Middle’s fields. OMS is so grateful for their support with this project.

Rita’s donated Italian Ice for a teacher’s luncheon as well as coupons for all students with perfect attendance.

Papa John’s Pizza has continued their support for students with perfect attendance and honor roll recipients by donating coupons as special prizes for their achievements.

OMS wishes to thank all of the business partners for their outstanding support throughout the year.

Summerville Elementary School

A special thank you to Gilligan’s for providing shrimp and grits for the third grade "Shakin & Shaggin" party. It was a treat for the students to sample a Lowcountry favorite! What a great addition to the many wonderful things they learned about South Carolina’s history.

Students are awarded a Bo-Berry Biscuit for "leaving their mark in the sand" at SES. Bojangle’s presents 22 of our students each month with a biscuit as a way of showing their support for students’ leadership achievements. All of the students are acknowledged for displaying Safety First, Active Listening, Never-ending Pride, and Demonstrating Respect. Thank You Bojangle’s for supporting the leaders of Today and Tomorrow!

Meeting the needs of children is very important in order to obtain their full learning potential… Thank you Cornerstone Financial Strategies for your unending support of SES students! Your generosity is greatly appreciated and does not go unnoticed.

SES is blessed with GREAT teachers and they wish to thank Bi-Lo, Biggby Coffee, Perfectly Frank’s, and Mr. K’s Piggly Wiggly for their support. All of these businesses donated gifts that will be presented to SES teachers throughout the year for their hard work and dedication. Thank you for your continued support!

Thank you Chick-fil-a for hosting a great Spirit Night. What a wonderful way to enjoy the holidays with the SES family. The Santa Cow and SES Chorus made the night complete with their wonderful Christmas Carols.

The Adopt-A-Teacher Program is in full swing. A big thank you to Walgreen’s, Gilligan’s, Summerville Pediatric Dentistry, and the Flowertown Garden Club for sharing their expertise with SES students this past month. It is amazing what students learn from this "hands-on" approach. We greatly appreciate the time our partners in education take out of their busy schedules to share their talents and expertise with our students. You truly are making a difference!

SES has two new additions… the Flowertown Garden Club planted two trees in memory of Dr. Gene Sires and in honor of Arbor Day. What a special dedication and wonderful addition to the school grounds.
